You may be aware that with all your help and cooperation Kumbabhishekam for Valavanadeesar Temple at No.19, Arcot Taluk, Valayathur Village, Vellore District, Tamil Nadu 632504 was performed on 18th April 2010.

More than a year has passed by since then. During the past one year, the Temple has been running well and has been open both Morning and in the evening daily.

A separate Archakar has been appointed for the Temple. He performs pooja and naivedyam and rituals daily and attends to the devotees who visit the Temple.

During this one year the following special poojas were conducted, with the help of devotees:

1. Mandalabhishekam for 48 days.

2. At the end of Mandalabhishekam, a Vinayaka deity was installed, Kumbabhishekam performed and also Shanakabhishekam for the Lord.
Procession of Lord in the village etc.

3. Annabhishekam in a Grand manner

4. Karthiga Pooja and Deepam festival.

5. Dhanur Masa Pooja on all 30 days. Procession of the Lord through the village on Arudhra Day.

6. MahaSivarathri with four Kala poojas, Rudra Homam, Mahabhishekam etc.

7. First Annual Day of Kumbabhisheka on 17th April 2011, a new Pradosha
Vigraham with Nandi Vahanam in Panchaloha was dedicated to the Temple
by a devotee.

8. 108 Shankabhishekam was also performed

9. Throughout the year all Pradosha Poojas were conducted.

10. In all five procession of Lord in the village in the year took place

11. A number of Abhishekams and Aradhanas by devotees in the village and others from far and wide.

This communication is written to you with the sole purpose of continuing all those activities during the years to come without fail. To achieve this we need assistance from the devotees.

The day to day expenses for a month comes to around Rs.9400/- as follows:

1. Salary for Archakar - 4000

2. Naivedyam 1kg Rice per kg 30x35 - 1050

3. Oil for a month and other accessories - 1000

4. Servant Maid - 350

5. Flowers for 30 days @Rs. 20 30x20 - 600

6. Two Pradoshams 1200x2 - 2400

A small corpus is available with the Temple Trust which takes care for a few months’ expenses i.e. about five months.

But we need some more assistance for carrying out these activities on a regular basis. Hence all devotees are requested to take part in this Maha Yagya of maintaining the Brihannayaki Sametha Valavanadeesar Temple in all its glory and receive his blessings.

You can visit the Temple any day of the year and can take part in the poojas of the day. Your participation in the maintenance of the Temple can be in any of the following methods:

1.Participation in daily Pooja on any day/days of your choice by paying Rs.350/- for each day.

2. Participation in Pradosham on any of the 24 days in a year by paying Rs.1200/- per pradosham.

3. By adding you mite by sending contribution to increase corpus of the Trust.
